A ten-year-old boy sustained injuries as he jumped from the second story of a burning apartment building in north Houston.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A ten-year-old boy was injured as he was dropped to safety from the second floor of a burning apartment building in Greenspoint, Eyewitness News has learned.

The boy was been transported to a local hospital in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.

The two-alarm blaze burned through the Fallbrook Apartments on Plaza Verde Drive. All eight units in the building were destroyed, and some neighboring structures suffered heat damage.
