Lucha Underground sells out in Houston

Fans were turned away as the popular wrestling promotion debuted in Houston. (KTRK)

The El Rey Network and Cricket Wireless teamed up to bring the Lucha En Vivo wrestling tour to Houston. For the first time ever, fans were treated to the stars of Lucha Underground, the popular professional wrestling product that was created and produced by film legend Robert Rodriguez.


The group jam-packed Trader's Village this afternoon, leaving many fans unable to even grab a seat! Wrestling stars like Johnny Mundo, Drago, Pentagon and Ivelisse wowed the crowd in two thrilling events while also taking pictures and signing autographs.

Unlike more traditional wrestling programs, this show is like an underground fight club that features some of the best fighters and luchadores from around the world. Next stop for the promotional tour is San Diego.
