Student arrested after bringing loaded gun to school

SPRING, TX (KTRK) -- A student was arrested after authorities say a loaded weapon was found at Dekaney High School.

Spring ISD administrators got a tip on Thursday that a student was in possession of a gun. They began an investigation with the Spring ISD police department, and on Friday the student was stopped before entering the campus. They say the student had a loaded gun on him.

The gun was immediately confiscated and the student has been charged with possession of a firearm in a prohibited area.
