Three people were taken into custody after a multi-vehicle chase in Montgomery County.

According to Montgomery County Precinct 4, constables were involved in a chase after they spotted a stolen white Dodge work truck with another red Toyota truck following it.

Police were trying to stop the white truck when the red truck attempted to block law enforcement vehicles by trying to ram them.

Authorities say a deputy was able to arrest the driver of the red truck, 24-year-old Randall Worth. Simultaneously, John Weeks Jr., driver of the white truck, took off in pursuit.

Weeks Jr., 40, was driving north on Firetower when he crossed over State Highway 242 and slammed into a woman and her two grandchildren. The woman is the mother of a police officer whose children were inside the vehicle.

They were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say Weeks Jr. and the passenger, 38-year-old Monica Mataisz, fled into the woods. Both were taken into custody after a short search.
