Two fathers fatally shot outside southwest sports bar

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Loved ones say two men, both fathers, were killed outside of a southwest Houston sports bar.

Houston police are investigating a double homicide near Hillcroft and Highway 90.

Surveillance video obtained by 13 Eyewitness News shows what appears to be one the victims pull into a parking spot around 1:05 Saturday morning.

In the video, you see the man get out of the vehicle and walk toward the bar. Then just 55 minutes later, the two men were shot and killed outside of the sports bar.

Officers say the bar was clearing out and there weren't a lot of people inside at the time. The owner of the sports bar and a security officer heard gunshots outside, that's when they found the two dead out front.

Investigators say the suspect or suspects fired ten to eleven shots.

Officer believe the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle.

A close friend of the victim tells 13 Eyewitness News that the two men had children. One was about to leave the country to attend his daughter's wedding.
