A family was fast asleep when two armed robbery suspects crashed a car into their home

HARRIS COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- A family was shocked to found two armed robbery suspects and a car inside their home early this morning in north Harris County.

Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constables say the two men robbed an O'Reilly Auto Parts store on Aldine Westfield near Treaschwig.

When they tried stopping the men, deputies say they took off.

The chase lasted less than five minutes and came to a messy end when they lost control and crashed their vehicle into a home at Treaschwig and Mala Way.

A mother, father and their two children were asleep upstairs when it all happened.

Surprisingly, the family didn't awake from the sounds of the crash but the alleged robbers trying to hide inside the home.

At one point, deputies say the suspects went into the bedrooms and pointed guns at the faces of these startled family members.

Fortunately, no one was hurt and both men were taken into custody. Deputies say one of the suspects was caught with a gun inside an empty bedroom.

The car that crashed, meantime, was allegedly stolen in a carjacking in Humble.

The two men taken into custody are possibly linked to two other robberies, according to deputies.
