HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Suspects as young as 12 and 13 are accused of robbery by gunpoint. They allegedly attempted to take money and cell phones from three women.

The women said at least one of the robbers had a gun, and they called police, but when police arrived - the kids ran away.

After an exhaustive search, police found three of the kids. They are now in custody.

Police say the group had a stolen gun, two knives, and ammo with them.

"I told him we don't have no money, I'm laughing at him, and so I pushed the gun. And I'm like go, go, and he's like give me your phone, give me whatever," said Ashley Kattragadda.

"They were little kids! That's why we were just laughing. We were like go home, go to your mom," said Mirana Hernandez.

Police are still searching for about five more suspects. But, they tell me those that were taken into custody have given them information on their identities.
