Parking tips for three weekend events
Katherine Whaley gives you the skinny on parking at three top weekend events

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The weekend is almost here and if you are planning to head to one of the many fall festivals around town, here's a look at how to get there.

Greek Festival 50th Anniversary

If you are planning to head to the Greek Festival, you can catch a free shuttle from Lamar High School or Lot H near Memorial Drive and I-45. The shuttle runs every 15 minutes.

Several METRO bus routes also make stops nearby, including:

25 Richmond

56 Airline/Montrose Crosstown

82 Westheimer West Oaks.

Finally, an Uber or taxi might be a good idea. Most of the blocks around the festival are tow-away zones.

Texas Renaissance Festival

This is the first weekend of Renfest, and you can enjoy free parking. The Texas Renaissance Festival is located between Magnolia and Plantersville, off of FM 1774.

Preferred parking is $15 per vehicle, but you can purchase parking online at a $5 discount. The pass allows you to park in the first eight or nine rows near the gates, and provides free shuttle to the entrance, too.

Oktoberfest in Pearland

King's Biergarten in Pearland is hosting Oktoberfest, and they expect 10,000 people throughout the three-day celebration.

A few free parking spots will be available at the festival, but you can take a shuttle from a lot down the road at FM 518 and Sunset Meadows Drive for just $5.

VIP tickets include parking adjacent to the beer garden.
