MACOMB TOWNSHIP, MI (KTRK) --A 38-year-old mother was on the phone with 911 when deputies say she was shot and killed by her husband.
In the audio recording, Ebony Byrom can be heard telling her husband to leave the home they shared with her teenage son.
He refused, and before help could arrive, Ebony was shot multiple times.
Her husband, who neighbors identified as Hal, then turned the gun on himself, but survived.
It's believed the couple had an argument over finances prior to the shooting incident.
Their teenage son was in the home, but not physically harmed.
WXYZ reports that the 44-year-old husband is listed in serious condition and is expected to be arraigned for felony murder while in the hospital.
