HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Christopher Simple was killed inside his home on September 10.

His family believes whoever killed him followed him from the restaurant he owns and knew his routine.

"They're totally cowards," says Gregory Simple.

"I have zero fear of you. My name is Gregory Simple if you want to come after me you can."

A fearless Gregory Simple's two older brothers were shot when three masked men broke into Christopher Simple's house on Airport Boulevard.

"They put a shotgun to me and said don't move," Vincent Simple tells us. "They asked me how many people were there. I said one more person in the room. They went and got him."

Vincent Simple says they duct taped him and his brother. They took the money out of Christopher's wallet, and made him open his safe.

"It didn't have any money in it. He usually keeps a couple hundred dollars in it. So they started beating him. After I heard the gunshots I knew they were coming back after me."

They killed his brother, and then shot him in the foot, and then in the chest as they ran out the front door.

"He gave money to the kids in this neighborhood who couldn't afford to play football. He also gave money to other groups out here that needed money for help with their programs. This was a beloved brother," says Quannell X.

"He didn't have any money," adds Gregory Simple. "He's trying to provide for people too much to have money. It makes no sense to kill somebody behind this. I want them gone."

The family tells Eyewitness News he'd just gotten the permit to open his business, Pop's and D's Sports Bar full time. They tell us masked men also broke in there, they believe looking for a safe.

Activist Quannell X says something has to change in the neighborhood, and it starts with police.

"There needs to be more investigators put into this case and others like this in this area because crime is not on a downward spiral. It's going up."

We're told the three ran out and to a getaway car that was waiting, along with a fourth masked man, right around the corner. If you know anything about this murder, call Crimestoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

The family has set up a website for anyone who wants to help them with expenses and medical bills.
