HPD patrol car hits 18-wheeler in NE Houston

HOUSTON -- A Houston Police Department SUV rear-ended a flatbed 18-wheeler on Ley Road at Fitzhugh Street in northeast Houston this morning.

HPD says an officer was transported to Memorial Hermann with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened just after 6:30 a.m. in the 8200 block of Ley Road.
