HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Keep the water bottle handy and take cover: It's going to be another hot day in Houston.

We may be days away from fall, but Travis Herzog says we can expect temperatures that feel as hot as 105 degrees in the area today.

We probably won't reach a record high of 99, but when you factor in that humidity, it's quite a scorcher even in the shade.

With these hot temperatures comes a chance for a strong storm to pop up, but most will stay dry on this Tuesday.

The first day of fall comes Thursday, but Travis says we can expect more of the hot stuff through the week.
