HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Investigators are looking for two men they say broke into a house and killed a man in Spring.

It happened Sunday evening, around 9:30, at a home on the corner of Canvasback Glen Court and Ringneck Glen Drive.

Detectives say the men, who had bandannas covering their faces, broke into the home through the back door and demanded money. Two brothers were inside the house. Investigators say the intruders demanded cash, then shot the homeowner and ran.

The victim has been identified as Adrianus Michael Kusuma, 33. Detectives initially identified Kusuma as a restaurant owner, but abc13 has since learned the restaurant is owned by the victim's family.

"We understand they do have a restaurant and so the suspects may have been targeting them, hoping they had cash," said Sgt. Ben Beall with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

"The subjects took a small amount of cash and fled the scene in a white car, that's about the best description we have at this point," Beall said.

One neighbor said he heard the gunshots, but thought it was fireworks at the time. When he found out what happened, he was shocked.

"Really enjoy having them as neighbors. Always friendly to me when I see them, every day. It's a sad situation," said the neighbor.

Investigators don't have a strong description of the suspects, saying they are two black men, medium height, one is heavyset and one is skinny.
