Viva Houston - HISD hires new superintendent

Viva Houston 8/28/16 Segment 1 - Manuel Rodriguez, the President of the Houston Independent School Board, discusses the hiring of Richard Carranza as superintendent of HISD schools. Carranza is the second Hispanic superintendent in HISD history. He takes over the nation's seventh largest school district after spending several years heading up the San Francisco school district.
