One dead after apparent domestic dispute in northwest Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY (KTRK) -- One person is dead after an apparent domestic dispute in northwest Harris County.

According to investigators, the woman's boyfriend was coming to the home in the 7200 block of Prairie Village Drive to get her, when the soon-to-be ex-husband pulled out a gun.

"Words were exchanged at which time the husband, suspect discharged his firearm striking the victim at least twice," HCSO Homicide Sgt. Robert Spurgeon said.

Detectives say the victim was flown to the hospital where he died.

The soon-to-be ex-husband is in custody.

Authorities haven't released names but both the victim and the suspect are in their late 20's.
