Woman found dead in vacant field in NE Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A woman was found dead in vacant field in NE Houston this morning.

Neighbors heard gunshots around 4:50am at the 2000 block at Staples and Quitman.

Police are confirming that the woman was shot in the head.
