HPD: Elderly woman slams into police cruiser in SW Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An elderly woman allegedly plowed her vehicle into an HPD cruiser in southwest Houston.

Officers and emergency crews rushed to the scene on South Braeswood and Gessner just before 4am, where the accident happened.

Police say a female driver says she had the green light, while the officer says he had the green light. The result was a collision right in the intersection.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

HPD says the officer was just on patrol and was not responding to a call when the accident occurred.
