Houston is beginning the week with the chance for heavy showers

A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for a portion of southeast Texas's coastal counties until 12pm.

The National Weather Service says Brazoria, Chambers, Galveston and Matagorda counties are expected to see heavy rains today through lunch time.

Travis Herzog says Freeport saw the brunt of yesterday's storms, where a total of 8 inches of rain fell. That area can expect more rain today.

Areas within the watch could get between two and four inches of rain by this afternoon, and we could see the potential for street flooding.
