DALLAS --A former chief financial officer for a Dallas-area school district has been charged with stealing more than $600,000 from the system.
Prosecutors say 61-year-old Carolyn Foster of Lewisville was indicted on a charge of federal program theft from the Grand Prairie Independent School District. The indictment announced Tuesday says Foster faces theft allegations from October 2014 to July 2015.
Foster was arrested Monday at her current place of employment - International Leadership of Texas in Richardson.
A message left with International Leadership of Texas wasn't immediately returned Tuesday. A message left with the district was also not immediately returned.
No records could immediately be located to determine whether Foster, who's pleaded not guilty, has an attorney to speak for her. If convicted, she faces a maximum 10 years in prison.
