Apparently an older man pulled out a gun and shot a younger man, and police say it was over kids playing.

HPD says there are quite a few people who live in the home.

At some point during the night an elderly man who lives here got into an argument with the victim who is in his 30's.

The nature of the argument according to police stemmed from where children were allowed to play.

"Apparently there was some kind of argument over where the children were playing in the yard, between the occupants of the house, the complainant who was shot got into an argument with the male that shot him," Lt. Larry Crowson says.

The victim was shot several times, but is expected to survive.

Police are not certain if this was self defense or not and are waiting on the District Attorney's Office to determine if charges will be filed.
