Deputies: Man dies in head-on wreck after fight with wife in NW Harris Co.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A reported fight between a husband and wife ended in tragedy after a man died in a head-on collision in northwest Harris County this morning.

The accident happened around 3:26am on West Mount Houston between McKinley and Royal Village.

A tragic end to a reported fight between a man and wife in northwest Houston

Harris County sheriff's deputies identified the victim as Jose Mar-Perez.

Deputies say the victim and his wife were involved in an argument. At one point, the man drove off in his Ford F-150 pickup with his wife following him in a separate vehicle.

For some unknown reason, the man swerved across the center lane, hitting a concrete truck.

If you look at the wreckage, you can see the victim's vehicle was hit with incredible force.

The man died at the scene. The driver of the concrete truck had minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
