Free back to school help for families

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Mayor Sylvester Turner will hold a news conference to remind parents to pre-register for the sixth annual "Mayor's Back to School Fest" today.

To register, students must qualify for free or reduced cost lunch.

The registration deadline is July 31st and the event is August 13th.

There, you'll have access to free school supplies, immunizations, health screenings, and other services.
