Woman pulled from vehicle that plunged into NW Harris Co. bayou

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A woman was pulled from a vehicle that drove into a bayou after an accident in northwest Harris County Tuesday afternoon.

It happened at Mills and FM 1960. Sky Eye was over the scene where crews secured the silver Mercedes and were then able to pull the woman to safety.

Police say the woman, who is in her 80s, was traveling northbound through the parking lot of a Costco as another vehicle was traveling westbound. The vehicles collided, and the woman in the Mercedes reportedly panicked, put her car in reverse and drove into the bayou backwards.

At this point, we don't know how badly the woman was injured. She was transported to a nearby hospital.
