Reward offered in NW Houston robbery

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- If you recognize the man in these photos, you could be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.

Houston Police say he is a suspect in a robbery in northwest Houston.

A surveillance camera captured these images around noon on June 4th. Police say suspect entered a home improvement store in the 14000 block of Northwest Freeway.

Officers say the suspect placed two items in a shopping cart and exited the store without attempting to pay for them.

Once outside, a security guard asked for a receipt for the items and the suspect reached into the waist area of his shorts as if he was grasping for a weapon.

The suspect fled to a waiting gray Jeep Grand Cherokee, where the suspect told the driver of the Jeep to get a gun from the trunk.

The suspect placed the stolen items inside the Jeep, got into the front passenger seat, and left the location.

The suspects are described as black males. The suspect who entered the store stands approximately 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 230 to 250 pounds.
