Body found stabbed 24 times in SW Houston
Investigators say they will need tips to identify a man found brutally stabbed in southwest Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston police need your help identifying a man that was found dead in an apartment parking lot in SW Houston on Saturday morning. The victim had no identification on him when he was found.

Investigators say a resident returned home around 3:45 and found the man dead in the parking lot. The apartments are located near Bissonnet and Chimney Rock.

Investigators say the man was stabbed 24 times, leaving the victim in a pool of blood at the apartment complex.

Investigators don't have much information at this point in time. They are canvassing the area and looking for witnesses.

"It doesn't appear that the motive is robbery, like I said, with the little information that we have, witnesses anyone that has information on the cause of death, or saw something going on last night, please feel free to call," said Sergeant Anthony Turner with the Houston Police Department.

The victim is a dark-complected, middle-aged man. He is wearing a blue-striped shirt, olive pants and olive socks. He did not have shoes on. Investigators say identifying the man would help speed up their investigation.

"It delays the process in the fact that you really have to wait until you get the person identified to find the starting point. Until then, you just do what you can as far as canvassing the area to see if any witnesses might have seen what occurred," said Sergeant Turner.
