Several suspects on the run after La Porte home invasion
LA PORTE, TX (KTRK) -- An early-morning home invasion ended in gunfire in La Porte.
The shooting happened at a home on Shadow Creek at Willow Creek.
La Porte Police say between four and six people ambushed a family after a boy answered the front door.
The eldest son yelled for his father, who got into a confrontation with one of the suspects. At some point, they both pulled out their guns and opened fire. Both men were hit and transported to the hospital.
Police say at least four or five suspects are now on the run.
Sgt. John Kruger tells Eyewitness News they believe the home invasion is drug related.
