WASHINGTON -- President Obama and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders are set for a closed door meeting at the White House.
The meeting will happen this morning at the request of the Sanders campaign.

Sanders has come under pressure to drop out of the presidential race after former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton clinched the role of presumptive nominee.
The Obama administration has hinted it will not force the issue.
Vice President Joe Biden says Sanders should be given the opportunity to decide the future of his campaign.

Sanders has vowed to stay in the race through the Democratic National Convention in July.
Meantime, Obama may endorse Hillary Clinton for president as soon as today.
