HARRIS COUNTY (KTRK) -- A northwest Harris County woman says her home was targeted not once, but twice in a single night by thieves.

"It's a violation. I feel totally violated," said the single mother of two. We are not reporting her name as she fears the men could come back to hurt her.

The victim and her daughters were out of town. They had cameras around the house on Nayland Rock Street, but that didn't stop the thieves. They moved every one of them.

Around 1am Sunday, the alarm on her front door was tripped. Sheriff's deputies responded but found no signs of forced entry. Three hours later, motion detectors inside signaled another alarm. This time when deputies came they found an open door. But no thieves were to be found.

"They took my jewelry, my safe, my TV, my baby's desktop, my desktop, my lap top," said the victim.

She thinks the thieves used the first alarm to figure out how quickly deputies might respond so they could get in and out the second time before law enforcement arrived.

"It hurts. My kids are terrified. They don't want to come home," she lamented.

That's why she's asking you to take a good look at what the cameras caught before being turned: images of two of the men involved.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
