HPD: 3 people found dead in Houston's south side
Police are investigating the deaths of three people inside an apartment complex in south Houston.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are looking for the person who murdered three people inside an apartment in south Houston.

HPD responded to the Park Houston Apartments, 12000 Martin Luther King Blvd, around 6pm Monday after residents reported hearing gunshots.

They found three victims -- two men and one woman -- dead inside a second floor apartment. Investigators say it's still too early to tell whether they had all been shot.

"The wounds are not definitely gunshot wounds at this time, so we're still working on the details of what the causes of death were. It appears some kind of struggle may have taken place inside the apartment," HPD Detective David Williamson said.

Detectives say the shooting could have happened hours before it was reported. They are speaking with at least one witness to determine what exactly happened.

Residents told police they saw a man running from the apartment . They described him as a black male, about 5 feet 6 inches, stocky build with a short afro. He was wearing blue shorts and a white T-shirt. He was carrying a backpack with yellow and black handles. Police are calling him a possible suspect.
