Shotgun-wielding man threatens man pumping gas

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A customer pumping gas was threatened early this morning by a stranger with a shotgun in northeast Harris County, according to authorities.

It happened at a Star Stop Exxon gas station on the Eastex Freeway at Aldine Mail Route around 3:30am.

Deputies say the gunman wanted a ride, and told the customer he had a shotgun and wasn't afraid to use it because he just got out of jail.

The victim told the guy he needed to pay for the gas.

He went inside the store, and called for help. Deputies soon arrived and took the man into custody.
