BRYAN, TX (KTRK) --We're getting the first look at damage after a tornado touched down in Bryan, Texas. Winds ripped the roof off several homes and caused devastation throughout the area.
Residents tell Eyewitness News that they heard what "sounded like a train whistle."
"Very scary, very thankful to be alive," Paul Wuthrich said.

According to the National Weather Service, a twister touched down at Briarcrest near Lowes in Brazos County.
Several people took to Twitter to post photos of what looked to be a tornado and storm-related damage in Bryan.

The National Weather Service also says multiple homes have been damaged in the Wheeler Ridge subdivision, and Highway 6 at Briarcrest is shut down due to power outages.
