NBA mothers go above and beyond for their sons.

Whether they're cheering proudly as their sons hit a game-winning shot or hugging them close after a crushing defeat, these NBA moms have gone above and beyond for their balling kids.

Flo Allen Hopson, mother of NBA sharp-shooter, Ray Allen, is her son's biggest supporter on and off the court. When Ray's child was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, Flo ran the Boston Marathon in the child's honor.

Mary Babers-Green, mother of Golden State Warriors player, Draymond Green, shows her support through social media. You can find her commenting on her son's play on Twitter.

Others have used their experiences as single mothers to inspire others. Lucille O'Neal, mother of NBA legend, Shaquille O'Neal, struggled with alcoholism and is now a motivational speaker and has even published a book detailing her experiences.

One mother and son NBA relationship was so touching that it inspired a new movie. In 2014, Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant thanked his mom Wanda Pratt when accepting the NBA Most Valuable Player award. Durant thanked Pratt for raising him and his brother through challenging times. The moment was so powerful that the Lifetime network decided to make a movie about Pratt's life which is set to air in May 2016.
