Detectives investigating fatal shooting in southwest Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A shooting in southwest Houston left one person dead and another injured.

SkyEye was over the scene as officers cordoned off the scene at an apartment complex in the 7200 block of Corporate Drive.

One victim died at the scene, while the other was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives are still trying to sort out what happened. Only one of the victims is a resident at the complex.

Family members gathered at the scene and were extremely upset. They told us the deceased victim is only 18 years old. The other is around the same age or in the early 20s.
