At least two people shot, one fatally, in northwest Harris County

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- One person is dead and two injured after a shooting in northwest Harris County.

Authorities responded just before 8pm Wednesday to the 11600 block of Walnut Dale Ct and Upland Willow. Witnesses tell Eyewitness News they heard about six or seven gunshots.

At this point, we don't know what led up to the shooting, but we've learned a male is dead and a female was shot in the leg. A third person was transported to the hospital, but it's unclear if that person was shot.

"It's just too much, it's very dangerous," Jessica Lever said. "These kids do not know how to take a simple confrontation and just leave it at a confrontation."

No other details have been released.
