HPD offers $5,000 reward for robbery suspect

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a man who stole a woman's purse during a February ambush.

The incident took place at a strip mall on the 7200 block of Antoine Drive in Houston. As the victim was walking toward a store, the suspect attempted to grab her purse, but missed.

The suspect then lunged at the woman, who fell to the sidewalk. The pair struggled for the purse for several seconds, although the man eventually got away with the purse.

The woman sustained minor injuries during the altercation.
