HPD: Man shot, killed in SW Houston apartment complex parking lot

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- One person is dead after a shooting Saturday afternoon in southwest Houston.

According to Houston police, the man was shot at an apartment complex parking lot on Glenmont Drive at Renwick Drive. The victim was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Police say the suspect was armed with a shotgun.

"For whatever reason, we still don't know why, one of the males decided to leave," HPD's Chris Hassig said. "He came back armed with a shotgun and that's when he shot our complainant."

Investigators have not been able to identify the suspect or possible motive.

No other details have been released.
