HOUSTON (KTRK) --One man is behind bars accused of robbing five people in the Heights early Saturday morning.
Police said 27-year-old Jason Howard robbed people at various places.
Houston Police Sergeant Isaac Duplechain said Howard walked up to individuals at three different locations and pointed a gun at them.
Duplechain said Howard robbed people at a Jack in the Box, a Chevron gas station and on the street at 6th and Yale.
After receiving calls from the victims, officers were able to link the cases together.

Officers started searching for the suspect and caught up with him at 31st and N. Main, not far from where the crimes allegedly happened.
An officer spotted Howard's car and pulled him over.
"Inside the vehicle we found evidence of aggravated robbery. We had the witnesses come positively identify the suspect. The district attorney's office has taken three aggravated robbery charges on the suspect," said Sergeant Isaac Duplechain.
When officers pulled the suspect over they found a ski mask and some of the stolen items.
No one was hurt.
