COLDSPRING, TX (KTRK) -- A travel trailer traveled many miles, but ended up going nowhere after it was stolen from a home in San Jacinto County Thursday morning. Two people were arrested after some quick thinking by one of the victims, according to authorities.

The San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office says a man called in after seeing two people speed away from his home in a blue Chevy, his travel trailer in tow.

San Jacinto County says they tried to find the trailer, but a call from the victim's wife ended up leading them to the suspects in neighboring Walker County. She saw the stolen trailer while driving in the Woodlands on Texas 150 West near FM 1097.

Walker County law enforcement officers responded to the location and were able to catch up to the trailer in New Waverly and arrest suspects David Wayne Clough, 41, and Heather Cherie Frusher, 26.

Both were charged with felony theft. Clough, who has numerous felony convictions, refused to see the Judge and is held on no bond. Frusher, who was released from the penitentiary in Oklahoma only 10 days ago, is held on an $8,000 bond.
