Flash Flood Watch in effect for southeast Texas until Sunday

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Here we go again...

The next round of rain and thunderstorms will move into Houston late Friday and Saturday. The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch in effect until Sunday morning.

Now that the humid air is back, here's when rain chances return

This is the latest run of our PinPoint FutureTrack forecast model. There is a risk of large hail and damaging winds with the strongest storms. 3-5" of rain is possible and the rain could be heavy enough to cause street flooding. We'll also have to monitor the bayous.

The National Weather Service has already issued a Flash Flood Watch until 7am Sunday for the following counties: Austin; Brazos; Burleson; Colorado; Fort Bend; Grimes; Harris; Houston; Madison; Montgomery; Polk; San Jancinto; Trinity; Walker; Waller; Washington; Wharton.

I'll post another update Thursday afternoon with more details regarding the timing and intensity of the storms. In the meantime, please help spread the word so people aren't caught off guard this weekend.
