Alvin police issues Silver Alert for missing man

ALVIN, TX (KTRK) -- The Alvin Police Department has issued a Silver Alert Jose Rangel, an 80-year-old man suffering from the early stages of dementia.

Rangel was last seen wearing a blue plaid shirt, jeans and tennis shoes near Compass Bank in Alvin. He has brown eyes and white hair, stands 5 feet 5 inches and weighs 160 pounds.

Family members tell abc13 that Rangel has a tattoo of a horseshoe on his right arm.
