HOUSTON (KTRK) --SkyEye captured an unusual sight Thursday in Bear Creek Park. It was a bison roaming around in the floodwater.
According to officials with Harris County Precinct 3, they had been trying to get the bison out for hours, and even built him a platform to stand on, but nothing worked.
Finally, this evening the bison was tranquilized and towed to safety by air boat and is now in the care of a veterinarian.
The water in the area is up to 15 feet deep. Other than being very fatigued, the buffalo is expected to be fine.
