Deadly wreck blocking SH 6 NB at Patterson Road

HOUSTON -- A fatal crash is blocking all northbound lanes of SH 6 northbound at Patterson Road. The closure is expected to last until 10am.

At least one person is dead as a result of the four-vehicle crash.

Authorities tell us a driver of a Honda was going northbound and slammed into a van, which hit a Chrysler 300. Moments later, a Scion slammed into the Honda. The male driver of the Honda is a suspected of drunk driving and has been charged with intoxication manslaughter. The passenger in the Honda died on the way to the hospital.

The roadway is expected to be closed until 10am. The southbound lanes are unaffected.
