SUV shot in apparent road rage case in west Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are investigating an apparent case of road rage after an SUV was struck by gunfire on the west side of town.

A man and woman were traveling west on 610 North Loop when they noticed a grey Nissan pull into left shoulder to pass them. As the SUV was passing them, the victims heard shots fired through windows.

The SUV was struck, but neither of them was injured.

After the shooting, the suspect's vehicle sped off and the victims drove south on the loop and exited at I-10.

The woman was advised that they spent the night at a friend's apartment because the suspect may have followed them from there.
