HOUSTON --There's a big traffic mess on the outbound lanes of the Katy Freeway, where a natural gas line shut down all main lanes for an hour and a half earlier today. The main lanes have re-opened, as have all but one of the lanes of the frontage road.
The leak was underneath I-10 westbound at Highway 6. Even though the roadway has re-opened, traffic remains a mess. The Westpark Tollway is your best alternative. Other possibilities are Memorial or Briar Forest and even the NW Freeway or SW Freeway to Grand Parkway.
