A Baptist minister and his wife are dead after a street racing accident on the northwest side, and now authorities have named the driver they're looking for.

It all happened around 9:15pm at Bammel North Houston and the West Sam Houston Beltway feeder.

Minister and wife killed in accident with street racers

Jesse Estrada Sabillon, 56, is seen here with family

Loved ones of the couple say they had just visited a relative's newborn baby and were headed back home, when they were struck by the speeding truck.

"I'm still in shock," said Jesse Sabillon, the couple's son.

Jesse Sr. And Maria Sabillon had been married for more than 30 years. Their son says he was a pastor at the Cloverleaf area church and also known for his fine carpentry skills.

Sabillon added, "May dad was a very great man, I will always keep that in my heart and memory as well as my mom, a very strong woman."

Sheriff's deputies say the couple was traveling on Bammel North Houston Road last night when two vehicles were street racing on the Beltway feeder. When the racers approached the light, the driver of a possible Dodge Charger slammed on the brakes but the driver of this pickup truck did not, smashing into the couple's Mercedes.

"City streets aren't meant to be raced in, that's why we have traffic lights and law enforcement and signs with speed limits," said Sabillon.

The driver in the Charger drove off, the driver of the truck ran from the scene. Eyewitness News was the only station at the scene when deputies searched the northwest side apartment of 21-year-old Alexis De Larosa Sosa. Investigators have released this picture of the man they suspect was driving the truck.

Harris County Sheriff's Office Traffic Enforcement Division (TED) is seeking information on the whereabouts of Alexis De Larosa Sosa, 21.

The family of the couple killed has a message for him. Sabillon said, "It's going to eat you alive, come and turn yourself in and make it right."

If you have any information call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
