VIDEO: Armed robber threatens clerk during heist
LA MARQUE, TX (KTRK) -- Police in La Marque are hoping crisp clear video of an armed robbery suspect will help lead to his identity.
The robbery happened just before 7:30pm Tuesday at a convenience store in the 2500 block of Cedar Drive.
Investigators released video of the suspect entering the store and asking for a pay phone. He then leaves.
The next video shows the same man return to the store, but this time with a bandana covering his face. He threatens to kill the clerk and jumps over the counter. He points the gun at the clerk and repeatedly threatens the employee while grabbing cash from the register.
The suspect disabled the clerk's phone and then runs out of the store, heading east.
