Neighbors say they heard several gunshots ring out around 8:30pm on the 2000 block of Quail Valley East between Highway 6 and the Fort Bend Parkway toll road in Missouri City.

Police are now reporting that a suspect was chasing a female victim down the street on foot, while shooting at her.

Before the officers arrived, the suspect fled.

Shortly after, the officers were able to locate the suspect on the 2000 block of Cartwright road but while initiating a traffic stop, the suspect fled again.

After leading the officers in a short pursuit the suspect returned to the original scene and exited his vehicle. He ran into his residence and the police were able to convince him to come out and surrender.

The suspect was arrested and taken to the Missouri City Police Department.

The female victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
