Trash dump no more. Cleanup comes day after abc13 report
City crews removed piles of trash from the median of Wayside Drive -- less than a day after abc13 reported on the mountains of dumped junk Wednesday.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- City crews removed piles of trash from the median of Wayside Drive -- less than a day after abc13 reported on the mountains of dumped junk Wednesday.

There had been discarded couches, trash and even a broken pool table piled next to the neighborhood road in southeast Houston, but by Thursday morning it was cleaned up by the city Department of Solid Waste.

See the initial report here.

"It took us six months; it took you a few hours," resident Paul Callis said. "Thank you very much."

It wasn't tough to report the piles.

Ted Oberg Investigates dialled the city's 3-1-1 line to report the illegal dumping grounds and you can too.
