POMONA, CA -- Campus police and the L.A. County Fire Department came to the rescue when 10 ducklings were found stuck in a storm drain.

The ducklings were somehow separated from their mother and plummeted into a storm drain on the south side of the Cal Poly Pomona campus. A student alerted campus police about the situation, but they were unable to access the storm drain and called in the L.A. County Fire Department.

Campus police herded away the mother duck while firefighters entered the storm channel and rescued the ducklings, placing them safely in a container. Luckily, the firefighters worked quickly before the rain could fill up the drain.
