Man shot while trying to protect wife and baby during carjacking attempt

HOUSTON -- The Harris County Sheriff's Office are looking for two suspects who fled from an apartment complex shooting in East Harris County.
It all began as a man, woman and infant arrived at an apartment complex on Corpus Christi St. near Freeport. The man got out of his vehicle and was approached by the two suspects, who demanded his vehicle.
The man struggled with one of the suspects and was shot through both legs.
Both suspects fled the scene.
As for the victim, he was taken to Ben Taub Hospital and is expected to recover.
The victim's wife and young child were not injured, but deputies are still trying to find the men who pulled the trigger.
